Alli Noland – SKORA (http://www.skorarunning.com) representative explains:
SKORA represents a new approach to shoe design that puts the runner first and profits second, to build shoes that runner’s truly deserve.
SKORA shoes are built on a new platform that very closely mimics the shape of the foot. SKORA uses premium materials (Pittards’ goat skin and sheep skin leathers) and premium construction to ensure a glove like fit and amazing feel, with or without socks. The zero-drop design combined with the SKORA platform allows the runner to run as nature intended. It allows the runner to love their run again.
The benefits of zero-drop shoes are numerous. Minimal style running build strength throughout the lower half of the body, while enabling your body to function as nature intended. SKORA adds to the experience with style and comfort.
SKORAs are not just great for running, but also amazing for the gym and travel, as they’re low volume and pack easily, are stylish and anti-microbial, for no stink, even in close quarters. The street style of the shoes is unique and distinctive and the comfort is unparalleled.
David Sypniewski, founder and CEO of SKORA has been a runner for a long time and suffered from repetitive use injuries like IT band issues. Since he discovered barefoot style running, his injuries subsided and he was able to “love his run again”, but none of the shoes being introduced into this emerging market met his standards for fit, feel or construction. Determined to help other people love their run again, he set about developing SKORA, which after four years in the making, finally hit retail Spring 2012.
